Where Frankincense is the King of Oils, Rose is known as the Queen of Oils. Rose essential oil holds the highest vibration of any other oil on the planet.
It takes approximately 10,000 blossoms to produce a 5 ml bottle! Because rose petals are so delicate distillation must happen the same day the flower is harvested.
In medieval Persia (now known as Iran), Avicenna (980-1037 AD), a Persian doctor wrote extensively on health and wellness and is credited as the father of aromatherapy as we now know it.
While there are hundreds of species of Rose, doTERRA sources using the damask rose in Bulgaria, which originates from Asia and is one of the most desirable roses, due to its superior fragrance, its scarcity, and its remarkable emotional benefits.
Rose is also the oil for self-love, which then happens translates to love for others. Rose also makes a beautiful, romantic personal fragrance and can be applied on the neck, wrists, and décolletage.
It's known to help with anger management, so if you are going into a heated conversation or dealing with the after effects of one, Rose essential oil used behind the ears is an excellent support.
With it's powerful calming properties, Rose also serves as a sleep aid. Look at this study that was presented at this year's doTERRA global convention:
Physically, Rose is an immune support and helps reduce the appearance of skin imperfections. I bring Rose with me whenever I travel, to boost my immune support with all the germs around. Also, Rose balances hydration in skin, so when you're traveling with dry air in hotels/flying or when you're dehydrated or your skin care routine removes too much moisture from the skin, turn to Rose.
Emotionally and spiritually, Rose is the oil of divine love. It can be so tough, especially in the Western world, to trust in a higher power and release control. It teaches how to connect with divine love and soften our hearts. Rose essential oil restores unconditional love and acceptance, charity and compassion.
It supports in opening the heart to receive. I love using Rose to feel uplifted and comforted, and as a fragrance it's so beautiful and timeless.
This indulgent oil, free of adulterants or artificial ingredients, is now available in undiluted form in addition to its' diluted touch roller version. It's a staple that belongs in every oil lover's collection!
