Oregano is a strong and resolving essential oil that's best down for its flavoring abilities and immune supporting properties. A few years ago I learned that Oregano oil, when taken internally, had the ability to stop a cold in its tracks. At this point I hadn't tried doTERRA yet and I was frequently sick, so I got my hands on the oil, put some in water but then realized the taste was way too strong to take it this way.
Even when I found the oil came in capsules, I didn't see results. Then I gave up, until I was introduced to Oregano Essential Oil from doTERRA (different from the oil of oregano I had been taking, which is oregano leaves steeped in a carrier oil). The essential oil version is steam distilled from the actual plant leaves - the most concentrated form of oregano. And that's when I started actually seeing results.
Now I'm able to take a few drops of Oregano Essential Oil in a veggie capsule* whenever I feel a cold coming on and I'll take it as many times as needed until the cold stops - it usually only takes a few times. Because of its antibacterial, immunostimulant and antiviral properties, Oregano is even helpful against antibiotic-resistant bacteria.
