When we feel stuck, it seems like things will never change. No matter what we do, it can feel like a standstill. This feeling can be experienced in many aspects of our lives, from trying to lose weight, growing a career or business, or moving forward to the next chapter of our lives: emotionally, mentally, and spiritually.
I've been there, and I know how disheartening it can feel. When we want to be moving quickly, yet life has asked us to slow down and re-evaluate. This can sometimes be in our best interest, and other times our feelings of uncertainty can deter us from taking necessary action.
It's all about balance. Meditating on what life is asking of us at the moment, can truly be helpful on getting clear. When we resist slowing down, we drag out the process. Like the expression, "what we resist persists", when we actually do slow down and get clear, life ironically starts to move in the direction we want to be going in.
For me personally, when I sensed that life was asking me to slow down last year, I originally resisted and started working a bunch of different jobs just to 'pay the bills' and they ALL didn't work out, because they were not part of my soul path. I tried to deal with the discomfort by pushing even harder, in the wrong direction though. My soul decided it wanted to live a life on purpose, and anything that didn't align with being paid for my purpose, just didn't work out. Now I know my purpose is to bring healing and awareness of conscious living to people, and I center my life around that.
There are many emotions behind the feeling of being stuck. It can feel like we're trapped, and then that can cause us to shift into victim mode. We aren't victims of our circumstances, and we always have a choice on how we want to feel.
Our society doesn't teach us to slow down, that's for sure. So when we do that, we can resist it at first. We're out of the hustle and bustle idea, that isn't real unless we decide i is. That can lead to the feelings of being stuck at first, because it doesn't feel natural to slow down in a world that teaches us to move faster and faster.
A lot of times, an attachment to our past can hold us back. We actually become emotionally or mentally stuck, and begin expressing perfectionistic, controlling tendencies. I believe this is in a direct attempt to offset the feeling of being stuck, at least that was the case for me. I would push even harder and take a lot of (uninspired) action that would turn into spinning my wheels. It turns into trying to force things in life rather than allowing them to unfold naturally.
Essential oils can be the most powerful healers, if we decide to be in relationship with them in that way. They support us in letting go of the need to control, so that we can cast our worries aside and allow life to flow freely.
Specific essential oils do just that, and they alleviate the mental and emotional pattern of feeling stuck, therefore creating authentic movement in our life. Essential oils move the Qi, or life force, in our body, and break through patterns that are keeping us in analysis paralysis mode.
They will create momentum. When I feel stuck or untrusting of the plan that life has for me, I turn to these doTERRA essential oils below. Especially Cypress, whenever a project I'm working on is taking time to build up, I consistently use Cypress in the diffuser until I see the results.
We can also apply them topically on wrists and inner arms.
Cypress (the oil of Motion & Flow - my #1 go-to!)
Thyme (this is a hot oil, make sure to dilute with a carrier oil like fractionated coconut if applying topically)
DDR Cellular Complex Blend (take this one internally in a veggie cap)
Elevation Joyful Blend
Purify Cleansing Blend
Motivate Encouraging Blend
